01

Three sessions a year

We enter students in spring, summer and winter. Your teacher will say when you’re ready, never before.

02

Fees go to the exam board

Entry fees are paid straight to the board and start at around £50 for Grade 1. We don’t add anything.

03

Optional, always

Plenty of our students never take an exam. Playing in a band or at a concert counts just as much here.

Questions

Things parents ask us.

Anything else, call 01632 960583 after 3pm or send a message from the trial page.

Do we need an instrument at home?

For the first few weeks, no. After that you’ll need something to practise on. Your teacher will help you choose, and we can point you to rental schemes.

What if we miss a lesson?

Give us 24 hours’ notice and we’ll try to swap your slot that week. Lessons missed by a teacher are always made up or refunded.

Can parents sit in?

Yes, for under 11s we encourage it. Older students usually prefer to go in on their own, which is fine too.

How do we pay?

Card or bank transfer at the start of each term, or in two halves. Brothers and sisters get 10% off the second set of lessons.

Can we start mid-term?

Yes. You pay only for the lessons left in the term, and the trial lesson fee comes off the total.

How do we stop?

Just let us know half a term before you’d like to finish, so we can offer the slot to someone on the waiting list.
